ISRE, 2006 — Runtime: 14 min.
Thirty years in the life of a father and son, in a story made up of seasons that are always the same, broken only by an escape towards a new and distant world.
From rural Sardinia to industrial Sardinia, from the mountains to the city, from shepherd to factory worker: this is the path of a young man determined to forget, leaving behind the fear of a year of hardship and its painful shadow, and seeking refuge in a world of flames and steel, in the metallic heart of an oil refinery.
Through images and music, the story crosses the boundaries of land and time to portray the dehumanising nature of an alienating life in which hope, perhaps, belongs to the past.
I Cartoni dello Zecchino d’Oro – Christmas Special
As the old saying goes, at Christmas everyone can become good. Even that lonely, grumpy wolf hiding away in the darkness of a cave seems ready to open up to a smile…
